Medical aid
AstraZeneca is committed to providing employees and their families with access to the highest quality and most flexible healthcare at competive rates. The company has therefore selected a medical aid scheme that appoints health care consultants to provide education, support, assistance and services to all its members.Employees are able to select their choice of plan to suit their medical aid needs and the employee's contribution will be based on the cost of the plan selected.
Retirement fund
From the date of commencement you are a member of a selected retirement fund. The fund is a defined contribution fund.

The AstraZeneca Service Award programme is our way of recognising the contribution you have made to your Company and fellow employees. Employees will be recognised at 5 year intervals with the presentation of a gift at an appropriate company event.
