Appointed General Counsel on 1 January 2009, Jeff Pott has overall responsibility for all aspects of AstraZeneca’s Legal and Intellectual Property function. Jeff also acts as Chairman of the Board for Aptium Oncology Inc., an AstraZeneca subsidiary that manages outpatient cancer centres and offers a wide range of consulting services.
Prior to taking his current role, Jeff was Assistant General Counsel for Intellectual Property and Antitrust Litigation and before that worked in various litigation roles, where he has had responsibility for intellectual property, antitrust and product liability litigation.
Prior to joining AstraZeneca in 1995, Jeff spent five years at US Legal firm Drinker Biddle and Reath, where he specialised in pharmaceutical product liability litigation and antitrust counseling and litigation.
Jeff received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wheaton College in 1987 and his Jurus Doctor Degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1990. He resides in London.
