First India AstraZeneca/Nobel Medicines Initiative Event Inspires
In March AstraZeneca and Nobel Media brought 1996 Nobel Laureate in Physiology, or Medicine Professor Peter Charles Doherty to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.

AstraZeneca Showcases New Integrated Externalisation Model

Senior R&D and Business Development leaders from across AstraZeneca and MedImmune teamed up in Boston, Massachusetts to engage in discussions with representatives from academia, biotech and venture capital (VC) funds about the critical role that access to external scientific innovation plays in delivering new and valued medicines to all stakeholders including payers, investors and, most importantly, patients.
Our goal is to become fully immersed in the entire partnering ecosystem in order to enable us to be front of mind for potential opportunities as well as to stand out from the competition as the partner of choice. Currently six of our nine of Phase III products are the result of successful partnerships and we are committed to successfully commercialising innovation in healthcare whether it is derived from internal or external sources.
