SALES OF PRILOSEC® (LOSEC®) IN THE U.S. UP 23 PERCENT DURING FIRST QUARTER OF 1999

Total sales of Prilosec (Losec) in the U.S. during the period January - March 1999 amounted to USD 895 m. (1998: 730 m.), an increase of 23 percent. Growth in total prescriptions February year-to-date was approximately 20 percent.
