Since the acquisition in June 2007, AstraZeneca’s previous investment in Cambridge Antibody Technology and the company’s other internal biologics resources have been integrated into MedImmune to create a world-class biologics business. During the same period, MedImmune has submitted a Biologics License Application (BLA) to the US FDA for motavizumab, an investigational monoclonal antibody (MAb) derived from recombinant DNA technology.
