Lean Sigma

Manufacturing industries have benefited from process improvement approaches such as Lean Thinking (the removal of non-value adding steps in processes) and Six Sigma (the reduction of variation in processes). The application of these approaches to the AstraZeneca drug discovery process is facilitated by the Lean Sigma group. This central group of experts work closely with the departments to support value chain working and help to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
