Employing over 1,300 people, Charnwood is a dedicated R&D site, encompassing all the major R&D functions including pharmaceutical and analytical R&D, process R&D, clinical and regulatory.

The Charnwood Clinical facilities include a hospital-based CPU (Clinical Pharmacology Unit) at Nottingham.
