Osaka and Tokyo, Japan

AstraZeneca R&D Japan is a group of some 400 people based in Osaka and Tokyo.

In Osaka, the second biggest city in Japan, some 300 reside together with the staff of the AstraZeneca K.K head office - the Japanese subsidiary. Another 100 people, mainly clinical, drug safety and regulatory affairs staff, are located in Tokyo where the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare is located.

In Japan, we are exclusively engaged in Clinical Development and registration of new products and line extensions, on top of regular tasks as a legal entity in Japan.
