
Ramon studied for his MSc in chemistry at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and continued with a PhD in physical organic chemistry at the University of York in the UK. He subsequently worked at the Lund site of AstraZeneca in Sweden for seven years starting as a physical chemist within DMPK department where he developed into a DMPK project lead towards the end. Since 2010 Ramon has joined AstraZeneca’s Respiratory and Inflammation research labs in Mölndal, Sweden, as associate principal scientist in the Modelling and Simulation section, supporting the delivery of two CSID’s. Besides project work, Ramon is currently involved in modelling lung pharmacokinetics and subsequent pharmacodynamics after inhalation of beta agonists and muscarinic antagonists.
