Aleksandra Jaworska

I work in AstraZeneca’s Global Clinical Solutions department as part of the Submission & Financial Disclosure team, focusing on reviewing crucial documents for clinical trials within global team. My experience here has deepened my understanding of systems, documentation, and teams in pharma - knowledge that’s valuable for any future path. 

With scientific background, I studied Medical Biotechnology at the University of Warsaw and completed a Fulbright at the UChicago. My research has focused on oncology, and I'd love to apply my knowledge to clinical trials. I stay active through running, yoga, pilates and tennis. Travel has shaped me, with love for discovering new cultures and cuisines.

My favourite place in the AstraZeneca office is definitely the terrace! I love spending time outside, and being able to sit out there during work is refreshing. You can grab coffee or lunch with your co-workers and enjoy the sun. Just watch out for the beehives!

Zuzanna Marczenia

During my internship in Clinical Data Management at AstraZeneca, I support data cleaning in EDC systems, raise queries to clinical sites, and ensure data quality. This experience enhances my attention to detail and provides hands-on knowledge of clinical trial processes in a collaborative and inspiring environment. 

I’m a final year Molecular Biotechnology student at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, driven by a passion for clinical trials, drug development, and implementing artificial intelligence to advance medicine. I aim to contribute to innovative solutions that improve patient care and healthcare outcomes. 

During lunch breaks, I enjoy spending time on the rooftop terrace, where the fresh air and view make it easy to recharge, enjoy coffee, and connect with colleagues in a relaxed setting.

Dominik Drobek

I work in the Technical Quality Check service within Global Clinical Solutions department at AstraZeneca. My main responsibility is to ensure that documents from clinical trials stored in the eTMF are accurate, consistent, and comply with quality, regulatory and GCP standards. 

I hold an MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the Medical University of Lublin. My scientific background, with a strong focus on oncology and neuropharmacology, inspired my passion for clinical trials and advancing new therapies. 

I enjoy spending my free time at Agora. It's a lively space to eat, connect with colleagues, relax, and sometimes play 8-ball. I value the friendships and positive atmosphere more than anything else in our workspace.

Dominika Tekień

As an intern in Global Clinical Solutions, I primarily support the Submission & Financial Disclosure Team by reviewing Financial Disclosure documents via Veeva Clinical Vault. Working with a global team and engaging in WSIP sessions have enhanced my understanding of clinical trials and inspired my professional development. 

With a Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the Medical University of Warsaw, I’m eager to combine my scientific background with my drive to improve healthcare. In my free time, I love staying active mainly through horse riding, tennis, and skiing during winter. 

My favorite place in the AZ office is Agora - a vibrant space where I can recharge, connect with colleagues, and enjoy breaks, whether it’s lunch on the swinging seats, chilling in the music zone or a quick game of pool.

Julia Husiatyńska

As an intern in the Global Clinical Solutions, I support the Outsourced Studies Service Team. My responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of key study-related data in the Veeva Clinical Vault CTMS system and assisting Business Administrators in coordinating communication between AstraZeneca Study Teams and Contract Research Organizations. 

I’m in the final stage of my master’s degree in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology. During my studies, I focused on researching nanoparticles for innovative anti-cancer therapies and gained hands-on experience with preclinical drug testing. 

During my lunch breaks I really enjoy spending time in the Chemical Kitchen. It’s a spot with a really cool design and a huge periodic table on the wall. As I heard, there’s a mistake on the wall but no one can find it. Maybe you, during the Internship, will have a chance to complete this milestone?

Jakub Bartuś

As a Global Study Associate Intern, I support global documentation and keep local team activities aligned with timelines and procedures. There are a lot of meetings and administrative tasks. If you're organized and not afraid of clear communication, you'll feel right at home in this role. 

I'm a master's student in molecular biotechnology at Jagiellonian University. After completing GCP and introductory clinical research courses, this internship is my first real step into the world of clinical trials. I believe that strong preparation and a motivated attitude are key to secure position at the internship. 

What I like about the AZ office is how comfortable and well-equipped it is. Dual monitors, ergonomic chairs, quiet rooms. On top of that, you can play table tennis or chess during breaks! It's a great environment to stay focused and recharge when needed.

Beniamin Misiak

An internship in Study Management gave me global insight into clinical research from the sponsor’s perspective. As a Global Study Associate Intern, I support international trial teams, collaborate with experts, join trainings and projects, and meet many people from varied backgrounds. 

A year ago, I earned a biotechnology bachelor’s from Jagiellonian University and am now pursuing a master’s in molecular biotechnology. I gained broad lab experience but sought more people-focused work that used my knowledge. After learning about clinical research and upskilling, I joined AstraZeneca and plan to stay in clinical trials. 

At the AstraZeneca office, I value the many amenities that make it easy to spend meaningful time with colleagues - whether it’s the gym, the terrace, or the numerous spaces designed for grabbing a coffee and having a chat. Personally, I love a quick game of table tennis; a bit of movement helps clear my head and boosts my productivity afterward.

Jan Bator

Before joining AstraZeneca, I’d read a lot about clinical trials, but my internship gave me firsthand experience in a large pharmaceutical company. My technical role is rewarding, but what matters most is working with inspiring, passionate people in a diverse, collaborative environment. 

I've always loved biology. Although I'm from Kraków, I studied oceanography in Gdańsk and later started a master’s in marine biology. Eventually, I shifted my focus to clinical research and helping develop new therapies. While marine ecosystems remain a deep passion, I chose a path closer to home with equally meaningful work.

I enjoy staying active outdoors - sports, sailing, diving, and hiking are my hobbies. I also love watching good movies and traveling. In the office, my favorite spots are the pool table in Agora, the gym and the patio - perfect for breaks and unwinding with friends.

Konrad Stefaniak

At AstraZeneca, I'm an intern in the User Acceptance Testing Team. My role involves testing key systems used in clinical trials, which helps me develop strong analytical skills. This internship gives me valuable professional experience and the opportunity to learn from my mentors, who are introducing me to the world of clinical research. 

I'm in my final year of a Master’s degree in Chemistry at Lodz University of Technology. My research on biopolymers and participation in student exchange programs deepened my interest in drug development and clinical trials. Apart from my studies, I enjoy traveling with friends and watching sunsets - these are my favorite ways to unwind. 

After work, I like to go to the gym located in AstraZeneca’s Warsaw office. Exercising there helps me relax after a day filled with various tasks. There is also a ping pong table, and it’s an entertaining option for short breaks.

Julianna Pijaj

As an intern in Clinical Data Management, I review data from clinical trials, check for its accuracy, and resolve issues with clinical sites. This role has taught me the importance of reliable data in clinical research and allowed me to strengthen my problem-solving abilities.

I am in the final stage of pharmacy studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where I have gained diverse knowledge across pharmaceutical sciences, and developed research and collaboration skills through student associations and a scientific group. I am eager to bring this experience to AstraZeneca and help advance patient care. 

AstraZeneca's office has a lot of interesting spots, however, I most often spend my breaks in the Cosmos kitchen, enjoying its space- themed decor. It’s my favourite spot to relax, have a tea or a snack, and catch up with colleagues away from screens. 

Oliwia Dróżdż

As a member of Global Clinical Solutions at AstraZeneca, I conduct Technical Quality Checks of clinical documentation in Veeva Clinical Vault, ensuring regulatory compliance and support for safe clinical processes. Working in a dynamic, international setting inspires my growth. 

During pharmacy studies at the Medical University of Silesia, I engaged in student organizations, science festivals, and industry conferences, broadening my perspective. These experiences strengthened my communication and leadership skills, and inspired my passion for innovation and impactful patient care. 

Agora is hands down my favourite corner in the AstraZeneca office. That's where I go to switch off for a bit, recharge, and catch up with colleagues. Whether I'm grabbing lunch on the swings, unwinding with some music, or squeezing in a quick pool game, it's my go-to spot when I need a break in the middle of a busy day. 

Karolina Piechaczek

As a WSIP intern in AstraZeneca’s Global Clinical Solution Service, I support the TQC Department in maintaining the highest standards for clinical documentation. Every day, I help ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance while learning how innovative medicines reach patients. 

I earned my pharmacy degree from the Medical University of Silesia, where my journey included serving as vice president of the student council and joined multiple research and student clubs. Active involvement in academic life not only boosted my scientific curiosity, but also shaped my leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. 

Outside of my daily responsibilities at AstraZeneca, the company offers me plenty of opportunities to get involved and grow. I’ve had the chance to learn how to record a podcast or take part in sports and creative events! This let me recharge, discover new passions, and connect with colleagues in an inspiring atmosphere.

Jagoda Pańka

During my internship at AstraZeneca in the Study Management department, I support the Global Study Team by collaborating with local teams and vendors to ensure compliance with systems like VCV and accurate study documentation. This experience has given me a better understanding of key procedures and systems in clinical trial management. 

I completed my fifth year of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Gdansk and defended my master’s thesis. By actively participating in student associations during my studies, I became interested in both direct patient care in the pharmacy and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

Breaks at the office are always a bit different, as I enjoy exploring the many interesting spots around the workplace. The moments I enjoy most are having lunch at Agora with other interns and chatting over coffee on the terrace when it’s sunny.

Roksana Różankowska

As a Procurement Insights Intern, I analyze supplier, category, and cost data with Excel and Power BI, providing actionable insights to support cost optimization and process improvements. This role offers growth through advanced training and collaboration with an engaged, supportive team. 

I study Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems at Warsaw School of Economics, continuously developing my skills in data analysis and quantitative methods. Alongside my studies, I serve as an HR board member at CEMS Club Warsaw, enhancing my leadership and collaboration abilities through involvement in various projects. 

Outside my main responsibilities at AstraZeneca, I value the workplace culture promoting connection and collaboration. Time spent in the chill zone and coffee chats with colleagues help build strong professional relationships and foster a supportive environment that encourages personal and team growth.

Kacper Chojnacki

At AstraZeneca, I work in the Data De-Identification department. I help to ensure patient privacy by anonymising and pseudonymising clinical trial data through the use of various pre-processing algorithms. My role supports secure and ethical research by protecting sensitive information and upholding the highest data protection standards. 

I’m finishing my master’s in Cognitive Science at the University of Warsaw, where I focus on AI tumor detection for medical imaging, NLP, and deep learning research. I also have experience in tech support and IT consulting. In my free time, I enjoy 3D printing, building with LEGOs, playing video games, and spending time with my cats. 

One of my favourite spots in the office is the recharge room with a massage chair. It’s a peaceful escape from a busy day where I can reset, clear my mind, and relax. The quiet space helps me stay focused and balanced, and I often leave feeling refreshed, energized, and ready to take on new tasks.

Jakub Rogala

At AstraZeneca, I am part of the Data De-identification team. My daily work focuses on handling sensitive patient data from clinical trials through anonymising and pseudonymising to protect privacy and meet regulations. I also take part in testing new programs and macros that support our everyday work.

I hold a Nanoengineering degree and am in my last year of a Computational Engineering MSc at the University of Warsaw. My studies got me interested in software development, data science and machine learning, which I aim to grow further at AstraZeneca. Outside work, I follow Formula 1 and enjoy reading Tolkien’s books. 

The AstraZeneca internship is a great opportunity to meet many fantastic people. The office has plenty of places for conversations, sharing ideas, and spending time together. I really value getting to know my team and colleagues from other departments, which makes coming to work every day enjoyable.

Krzysztof Kalmus

At AstraZeneca, I work in the Business Process Management & Optimisation department. On a daily basis, I am involved in mapping processes related to the conduct of clinical trials. I work in the BIC Process Design system, where I use BPMN 2.0 notation to model processes and strive to optimize them to make them as efficient as possible. 

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. My engineering thesis focused on the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning systems in a company from the printing industry. In my free time, I am passionate about cultivating plants using hydroponic methods. 

During breaks at work, I truly enjoy connecting with colleagues from different departments and sharing our experiences from the day. I believe that fostering positive relationships and maintaining an open, friendly atmosphere are key to building a supportive work environment, which genuinely makes me look forward to coming to work every day.
