Bangkok, Thailand – AstraZeneca (Thailand) Company Limited was honoured with the Company of the Year Award by the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) in recognition of its exceptional contributions to Thai healthcare through significant social, economic, and innovative initiatives. These efforts underscore AstraZeneca’s strong commitment to sustainable healthcare and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Thailand.
The Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) has recognized AstraZeneca’s dedication to improving public health in Thailand. This includes the Lung Ambition Alliance project, launched in 2022, which focuses on the early detection of lung cancer among the Thai population and aims to screen 1 million people by 2026. In March 2024, the company introduced the "Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Risk Score," a digital screening tool aimed at high-risk CKD populations, with a target of reaching 1 million screenings by 2025. Additionally, AstraZeneca's CSR program, the “Young Health Programme,” which focuses on improving the health of underserved youth aged 10–24, has reached over 106,840 young people from 32 educational institutions. The program provides health education and insights into non-communicable diseases influenced by environmental factors, attracting over 22 million interactions.
