Accelerating discovery through science and technology

Science is constantly advancing, creating new insights that support deeper disease understanding, earlier detection, and more precise approaches.

Fundamental to our progress are technologies that enhance scientific discovery and accelerate innovation, with potential to improve productivity, to help us bring new medicines to patients faster.

01

AI and data

Our rich data enables us to harness the power of AI across millions of variables with the potential to deliver better medicines, faster. We use AI in every step of drug discovery and development, freeing up scientists’ time for more strategic work.

1.7 million+

human genomes and matched clinical insights fuel our R&D through our Centre for Genomics Research

02

Genomics and
multi-omics

We apply population‑scale genomics and multi‑omics to better understand how diseases begin and progress. These insights help us pinpoint causal biology, discover novel targets and biomarkers, and design more targeted therapies from the earliest stages of discovery.

MILTON

Developed in-house by our Centre for Genomics Research, this machine learning research tool enables early disease detection for more than 1,000 diseases, sometimes 10-15 years before clinical diagnosis, helping accelerate the discovery of new targets, biomarkers, and more targeted treatments.

Quantitative Continuous Scoring (QCS)

QCS, an AI-enabled tool that is capable of analysing digital tumour images and precisely quantifying drug targets on cancer cells, helps to more accurately identify patients that may benefit from certain treatments, improve trial selection, and support confident treatment decisions.

Lab of the future

We’re building an AI‑driven biologics lab of the future that combines robotics, automated workflows, and data integration to help accelerate and enhance biologics discovery and design.

03

Lab automation

We use robotics and smart instruments to run experiments with speed, consistency, and scale. Automation reduces manual steps, improves quality, and generates clean, structured data – freeing scientists to focus on design, interpretation, and breakthrough ideas.

Innovate with us

We welcome bold thinkers to join us in harnessing data, AI and biological insight to advance smarter and faster science.

Our R&D pipeline

We are building a diverse pipeline designed to target the underlying drivers of disease with the goal of creating potentially life-changing medicines.
