Cardiovascular, renal and metabolic (CVRM) diseases are chronic conditions that affect millions of people globally and place enormous burdens on patients, societies, healthcare systems and governments.1
These conditions are not isolated. They're interconnected, accelerating and increasingly deadly - responsible for more than 21 million deaths annually1, with cardiovascular disease cost to the EU economy alone adding up to €282 billion in 2021.2
We believe the next frontier in chronic disease care is not just treatment, but transformation.
We’re building on over four decades of CVRM research to take a different approach — one that doesn’t just manage disease but slows progression and protects vital organs. This approach also critically addresses the shared risk factors across interconnected areas — including diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, obesity, hypertension and dyslipidaemia — to reduce the global burden on patients, families and economies.
At ESC 2025, we’re advancing that commitment through 32 data presentations, including late-breaking clinical results in heart failure and hypertension, real-world studies on patient outcomes, and independent research exploring the impact of our therapies in diverse populations.
